Shanghai Part Four

DAY SEVEN

By this time, i was starting to think that i’m going to miss China so much and also the company we had, plus the awesome tour leader! It was strange. I thought i was going to hate the cold until i couldn’t enjoy the trip, but it turned out the joy at the trip overcame the coldness i had to face. In fact, at this day, i even enjoyed the cool air in Shanghai - it was something like in Genting, and knew that i’m going to miss the cool, dry air.

We started off with Chenghuangmiao after breakfast. It is a Commercial Center where we can try out the local food, enjoy the free shopping and also to touch the life in Qingming shanghe tu. A beautiful place except i couldn’t get to enjoy the buildings and to search for insects as much as i want as i was busy checking the quality of the iPhone. At last, i bought it!

We took a group photo here too. =)

After that, our next awaited destination is to the 6 star Seafood Buffet at the Golden Jaguar Restaurant! It was truly an awesome and THE awesomest buffet i’ve ever been to. I don’t know whether the Jogoya can be compared to that but the ticket to get in definitely lose to the one in Shanghai! It cost i think rm 250/300 per head! I was worried that i couldn’t eat as much as i want because my stomach was still full of food! Haha.

I’ll just post up some of the food i took! I took a little of this , a little of that.
Above are oysters and another type of “oysters”?
Below are scallops, tuna fish and salmon.

I forgot the name of these.

Cakes! cakes! cakes! yummmmmy! these were just some of the cakes served there!

Okay, i’m lazy to upload all but i had 13 plates of food on that day including - different kinds of pizzas, bird’s nest, fried stuffs, cocktails, more cakes, fruits, pie, Haagen Daz mango ice creaaam, some seafood stuff, some fin soup etc. I didn’t even cover half of the place due to limited time - one and a half hour.

Came out a few inches fatter.

My China tour guide. Has a great gift of gab.

After that we headed to Longhua Market i think. For shopping! All of the places i went had very little stuffs to buy for souvenirs though. I just bought a Kipling bag and some bracelets.

Then off to makan. The night here falls at 5pm. Its earlier.

This was our last dinner in China.

Still full of buffet.

The people who sat at the same table with us in every lunch and dinner. This aunty and uncle are very warm people.

This plump aunty is a very funny person. Talkative also. The one beside is her faithful husband. =)

This is their daughter. Real talkative also. She is from Connaught school, name Sheralyn.

The “Lost” uncle again. He loved Shanghai a lot. This was his second time here.

The husband and wife on the left are funny people too. The husband is called the Mafia by us. In this picture, he doesn’t look like one though. Haha. Anyway, he sells fried chicken in pasar near Sg. Long sometimes.

The uncle who waved was the funniest uncle in the trip. He is called “Yang Chung Mian” - a type of mee. Haha. Cracked jokes all the time! He sells ice kacang in pasar malam too - one of the place is in Sg. Long! Why can’t they go to Balakong pasar malam. I’ll be able to meet them then. The pretty lady beside is his wife.

This is one whole family. The uncle - funny person, speak real fluent Chinese! The mum, i disliked her the first time i see her, called her “Arrogant” the time i see her..haha! But ended up, she is quite a pretty good lady. Can’t judge a book by its cover huh? =P The two kids are fraternal twins. Funny boy, his laughter can make the whole group laughed till we got stomachache! You can see the trace of laughter in this picture too. The girl is just nice, shy. =)

The middle two couple are from Evangelical Free Church if im not mistaken. The lady is a sweet lady. Sat with me together in shows and during feet massage. Hehe.

One family except the guy on the left. The kid is a very cute kid! I think the dad is some kind of professor.

The kids are the kids of the father on the left at the picture before this. Funny family together with the grandmother. Didn’t really take a good picture of them together. I thought the mum was 25 years old, but she tole me she was 35! Look young.

This boy birthday was on that day. The man in pink was my tour leader. Awesome, responsible leader, though he was a bit “lo so”, but it was all for our benefits! Go book him if you want to tour around Asia.

The little Tour Guide. He is funny too. Look at his expression.

Our group consisted of 30 awesome people.

Then we went to watch 8 motorcycles revolved in a sphere show. Don’t know whats that called.

China tour guide. She reminded me of the actress in “My Girl”. She’s from Hangzhou.
We couldn’t take picture inside.

We watched the number 1661th show.

Then at night, after putting stuffs in hotel, we went to walk around at 10.30pm.
I urged my brother to cut his hair as a memory. So he did! Hehe. It cost only rm9 and that includes cutting and washing hair by professionals! Never compromise in what they did, the China people.

DAY EIGHT

The last day. I was going to miss this place. In the morning, we went to Tian Lu City to hear about some fengshui stuffs. Most of the time we were chatting about the phones we bought in China with the tour leader and tour group. Hehe.

Then, we went to some leg bathing. I think its after this or yesterday. Its called Bao Shu Tang. I was not allowed to be massaged as the ideal age is 21! =(

Then, we proceed to Oriental Pearl Tower which is the highest in Asia, third in the world.

At the lift of the tower. Look at the numbers!

We had a buffet at the Revolving Restaurant at the peak of the tower.

Anyway, i found the substitute of fried crickets - that is snail!

I ate snails! hehe!

It felt disgusting when i know they are snails, but it tasted just okay. Like lala except its less firm.

This felt really scary for those who are afraid of height! I did not really dare to step on it much more to look down!

Then we proceeded to Old Shanghai Wax Museum. Was actually rushing but took quite a lot of pictures there nevertheless.

All of them looked really real! Reminded me of ‘The House Of Wax’.

The weed suckers.

The desperate one.

I find all of the wax figure pretty eerie actually. Yet they are so beautiful!

The olden days restaurant.

After that, we were to proceed to sit the “Maglev train” towards the airport.

After the speech the tour leader gave, everyone just felt so sad to leave. Blame him for saying all those things that made some of us felt touched and almost cried.

Anyway, the train is a bullet train - the fastest train in the world.

 Look at the speed!

We arrived in 7 mins eventhough by normal it will take i think around 30 mins to reach the airport. The feeling of a fast moving train was awesome. Now i can’t sit patiently in ktm anymore.

Shanghai is a wonderful place and i would never forget it and also the company. =)
