Christmas is today!
CHRISTMAS!!!
CHRIST------mas!!!!
It was the day when Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour was born.
His birth had actually been long anticipated and prophesied by many.
Even in the beginning, God said "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He(Jesus Christ) shall bruise you(Satan) on the head(authority), and you shall bruise him on the heel."[Genesis 3:15]
Then one of the prophesies, "Therefore the LORD Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.[Isaiah 7:14]
It is truly a gift God has given to all of us when He sent His One and only Son down here!
You might ask -- "what for laa?? God has nothing to do ar??"
I'll tell you.
In the beginning, Adam(Man) and Eve(Woman) had a very very extremely close relationship and dependence on God. But after she sinned by obeying the serpant(Satan) instead of God in eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge, which led to Adam sinning because he was persuaded to sin, they were separated from God and became independent from God.
p/s: Oh btw, it's not so much of the fruit(some claim its an apple?well, the Bible didn't state what exact fruit) that makes them fell! *Snow White?haha* But its the disobedience that caused this!
So Jesus came down to restore the relationship that was once established in Adam's time -- that close intimate relationship and the dependency. So we can be Adam-ish back again!
He doesn't want religious practices from us. But a relationship with Him!
He doesn't want sacrifices from us. But more to obedience to Him!
So yeah, now its only a few minutes left for Christmas.
I would like to say,
