My 2009

I thought it would be pretty cool to write down a shorten version on what's happened in my 2009 year after i read Arnan's. How things had worked out, and not worked out. To look back and remember on what had happened. I know it's late to do this, but its better late than never i guess. :)

January

I was rotting at home while one by one, my friends started college. It didn't really bother me at first because i wanted to enjoy my 5 months break! 
I did my braces and it was not as painful as i thought it would be. 
I went to the Education Fair, and in the end, i was given a choice whether to go to Sunway or TARC for A-levels. It was a really last minute decision. Probably i felt its a bad idea to be an official waste at home. A night before I chose to go TARC, I was determined to go to Sunway due to many reasons.

But in that morning itself, I still felt unsure about Sunway, i felt i should go to TARC and i did. And this decision totally changed my whole course of life. 
I met my SJ9b mates - Audrey, Ishreen, Janice, Mint.
I went to find a CF and found. Was excited about it mainly because i wanted to experience such fellowship in edu place and also curiousity. 
Met XP, Arnan, Carmille, Jian Quan, Wen Lin etc in Prayer meetings at night at buspark. Eye-opening moments. First time experience such combine-youth-prayer moments.

Went to SPUS CG - met Ruth, Jonan etc.

Met Ben, Vincent, Kah Hong, Leo.
Met my hostel mate, Seow Yin. Couldn't get used to the coooold water!

I was made an assistant cell leader to Jen Jen.


February

Bought my precious guitar - which i've saved the money for one year!

Jen stepped down from all leadership -- so I'm made the cell leader and assistant leader for Mission.
Tough moments here but through those stones, i learned. 
Prayer nights continued. Awesome time.
Joined SWC Committee 09.
Had my first WAR 1 in church throwing pillows. =P

March

Continue enjoying basketball moments and makan time with mates. I miss those times.
First time kayak-ing in Putrajaya for Leaders' Outing.
Discipline times. And obedience.
SPM result came out! Got 8a1, 1a2, 1b3.
Mission trip 3 days to Kluang Assembly of God to minister. First time leading the kids. Chaotic moments. >.<. Met Abigail. Kluang LYPG peep!
Attended drum lessons offered by TARC. My teacher, Bryan Chin Botak. Had great time flowing with the beat.
Prayer meetings getting less people and left 5 of us. Still, its powerful.

First time playing floorball with CF mates.

Went JPA scholarship interview. Screwed it.
Continued driving lessons in slow pace due to lack of time.
Decided to go Form 6.

April

Passed my driving test -- first attempt and no bribe! Thank you God!
Starting to feel that i'm gonna miss TARC a lot, the people in it!
Did what i can for SWC for May Intake Orientation. Felt sorry to those who stayed behind.
Easter March around Kajang town.
Farewell party. Had last memorable night in hostel, and memorable prayer time at dawn and memorable memories of everything in TARC.
Went to Easter PAROIMIA in FGA KL.

May

A time to prepare myself for Form 6.
Went BCM with Chinese session youth and met collegemates - Vincent, XP, Carmille, Arnan, Jian Quan.
Form 6 starts. Didn't know we have one week orientation. >.<.
Met new friends - Brian Fam, Jia Yee, Ian, Kok wai, Durga, William etc etc.

Went Genting with another bunch of collegemates - Jolyn, Vincent, Clement, KahHong, Nic, Huanjin.

Prepared for Church Youth Camp - first time doing banner.
Powerhouse Youth - Faith Factor 2 Camp in Broga. First time seeing such great move of Holy Spirit.

June

Mission trip 3 days to Sepang to minister. In charge of children again. Not that bad this time.
First time incharge of Parents' Nite together with Joel. I hate to be incharged of food. Crazy times but learned.

CF first unofficial meet. Gathered Christians to share vision.
Started Recess Revo.
Started Prayer Meets in school every morning.

First time the whole Powerhouse presented during Father's Day.

Pastor Calvin stepped down from Powerhouse.

July

Brother Robert replaced Pastor as youth director. A new change.
Went to Subang Rally with CF-ers invited by XP. Met Arnan too. Cool exposure. First time attending such rallies where most of them are Form 1s to Form 5s. Subang is blessed.
First official meeting in CF. CF is approved in school as an unofficial club.
Getting busy with Form 6 syllabus. Its foreseen. Its crazier than A-levels.
SPBT Party. Eventful day. Never thought i'll attend a party in KHS at night. =)

August

My wish to attend thePlan09 since beginning of the year was fulfilled. Thank God for it.
Was down with terrible fever(40 degree celcius), terrible flu and cough for 2 weeks. Never had been this sick for a long time. I remembered the last one was when i was in Primary where my temp reached 42 degree Celcius and i vomitted different colour of vomits. Almost died.

Shared Recess Revo to church youth after recovered.
Elected as Secretary for Form 6 Student Welfare Board. Reminded me of SWC.

CF is banned due to past reasons. Thank God, there's a shoplot near KHS that we can use. Was offered help from ACTS church.

Family trip to Betong, Thailand. I LOVE the THAI FOOOOD there!

September

Went to thePlan09 in Malacca for 4 days. A new kind of camp. First time going to a mission conference camp. Those from Kajang were Charlene, Genesis, Jonathan and me. In charged of MNPN booth together with Charlene! Went to explore Malacca and i LOVE the DURIAN ICE KACANG - first time trying!

October

Bucking up for coming end-year exam. Left a lot behind in studies due to that 2 weeks break when i was down with fever.
First time climbing up Broga Hill with classmates.
My awesome 18th birthday. =)
Big Recess Revo project - did bookmarks and paper flowers for morning session teachers.
Had first attempt on Prayer Walk among Cf-ers.

November

Joined Millie's - a Youtuber call to fight against children sacrifice. Eye-opening times.
Had CF party 09 - the last CF for 2009.
First time to attend an Orchestra in KLCC! It's called Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. I love it!
FIrst time out with Puan Pushpa and a few friends. xD.
FIrst time out with Miss Wong and Charlene. xD 
Kajang LYPG is in our minds.

F6 Club - but mainly my class- did paper pegs for Upper 6! Great unity. First time.

Farewell to Ian who left for Sunway. First time having durian cake and its awesome!
First time attending Ladies' Seminar.
A dad of my 3 Cf-ers passed away and then after one week, another mum of my ex-schoolmates passed away. Condolences. 

Holidays.

December

Family trip to Shanghai for 8 days!
Went to Asia Pacific Youth Alive Conference(AYPAC) with quite a lot of church youths.
Mum's Organic Shop was officially opened.

The Inventors from Arnan's church came for Christmas drama presentation.
First time going for Christmas Carolling. 
Shyju Mathew came to church and the whole church shook. Healings took place and prophecy about our youth was made! We'll persevere on forward to see a greater Godly move in Powerhouse.

LOL..got lazy towards the end so its more to point form. 
More or less, this is sort of the conclusion of my 2009 year. 
Looking back at all these, i just couldn't believe my eyes that this had all happened in one year span.
I realised there were a lot of my first times in that year. =)


So, lesson made -- don't say you are old and can't do anything cuz no time, because in one year, you can actually do a lot of things! =P
